The BPC7041 PCI Express Backplane
The BPC7041 PCI Express backplane is a passive backplane with no active components such as PCIe switches or bridges. The BPC7041 is specifically designed for use with dual-processor single board computers like the BXT7059 or JXT6966 with the optional IOB33 and PEX10 modules installed on the SBC.
The PCI Express interfaces from the dual-processor SBC, as well as the PEX10 and IOB33, are used to provide direct PCIe SBC-to-I/O card communication links to all ten of the BPC7041 PCIe backplane slots. Our SBCs support the PCIe auto-training function to ensure SBC-to-option card communications regardless of PCIe interface type or link width. This SBC and backplane design maximizes system flexibility by enabling system support for standard PCIe 3.0, 2.0 or 1.1 option cards having x16, x8, x4 and x1 PCIe electrical interface link widths .

Board dimensions: 12.3” x 12.9” with a minimum drive tower cut-out of 13.41 square inches
The nominal backplane thickness is 0.080”; however, the backplane mounting holes are recessed 0.018” on the bottom to provide an effective PCB thickness of 0.062” for use in the chassis design process.
