The MCXI Single Board Computer

The MCXI single board computer is a PICMG® 1.3 form factor SBC.  The MCXI’s quad-core processor* configuration provides four execution cores and is similar to the dual-processor MCXT single board computer except the MCXI only utilizes the CPU0 socket.  This board configuration features an independent system bus to reduce data bottlenecks while maximizing throughput.

The four-channel memory interface features DDR2-667 FB-DIMMS with a max memory of 8GB.  The processing power and configuration flexibility built into the MCXI single board computer offer system designers a low SBC cost point while providing an optimum technology for their PICMG 1.3 computing applications.

Key features of the MCXI single board computer include:

  • Maximum memory bandwidth via a four-channel DDR2-667 memory interface
  • PICMG 1.3 SBC with two PCI-Express x8 lanes and one PCIe x4 lane

The MCXI single board computer maximizes ROI with long-life, embedded components which drive an extended SBC product availability of seven years or more.  As with all of our single board computers, the MCXI is designed with a standard BIOS version that is maintained under strict revision control.

However, BIOS flexibility is built in by offering various BIOS modifications that may be needed to meet unique system requirements. The MCXI is designed, manufactured and supported in the U.S. and is covered by our exclusive five-year factory warranty.

*Note: Product image shows the MCXT version of the SBC.  The upper processor socket and VRM circuitry are removed in the MCXI board version.  See the MCXI layout drawing in the jumpers and connectors document.
